" A charming detached 19th century cottage occupying a "Birds eye" position on the slopes of the famous Severn Gorge, enjoying spectacular views across the Gorge and beyond.

Historically, the cottage was owned and occupied by the postman of Ironbridge - hence the name given to the cottage.

The cottage is approx 600m from Ironbridge town centre, which is a renowned and historic former industrial town nestling in The Severn Gorge, the river Severn cutting its way through the steep and wooded slopes of The Gorge forms one of the most striking and distinctive landscapes in England and worthy of its world heritage site designation.

This remarkable area was at the heart of the Industrial Revolution in the late 18th and early 19th centuries and became world famous in 1779 when the world's first Iron Bridge was cast at nearby Coalbrookdale. The area is steeped in industrial heritage with local museums including the renowned Blists Hill Victorian Town Open Air Village at nearby Madeley and the world famous china works at Coalport.

Ironbridge is surrounded by lovely Shropshire countryside, dominated by the nearby Wrekin, Shropshire's highest hill. From its summit there are views over much of the county and to the North the contrasting landscape of the Shropshire plain.

Adjoining Ironbridge is the former New Town of Telford Town which offers an excellent range of shopping and recreational facilities together with a railway station with a direct service to Birmingham and Marylebone, London. There is easy access to the M54, linking with the M6 giving access to Birmingham and from the M6 Toll there is a connection to the M42 and M40.
