" Where it is Albion Barn is in Brize Norton which is 16 miles from Oxford, 4.6 miles from Witney and 1.3 miles from Carterton. Situated on hill, the village is full of pretty Cotswold stone cottages, and although small in size, has a really great community spirit. Whether you crave traditional village living, or just something to keep you or the kids entertained, there are an abundance of clubs and societies to join; you really will never get bored. Fancy treading the boards? Perhaps you will join the Brize Norton theatre club. You have just missed auditions for ?Sleeping beauty? but no doubt it will be great to watch and a good day out for the kids too. If being active is more your passion, then perhaps you will join the village dance or running or karate club. Don?t forget the cricket or football teams, better get the practice in for the annual cricket festival. If you have green fingers, then get growing now for next year?s horticultural show. The church council plays an active role in village life and there are many different events or projects to get involved in at St. Britius?. If you have children of all ages, then you will be pleased to know that there are great links to all the schools that Oxford has to offer. The village also has a great primary school. After school, there are many different clubs to keep them entertained including Guides, Scouts and Air Cadets, all meeting at the village hall. There are good bus links to Oxford, Witney and Carterton, so if you have older children you need not always be the taxi! While the kids are busy, why don?t you end your day at the Masons arms for a quiet drink whilst getting to know your neighbours. Why we love it ?Down in Albion? the countryside is beautiful, and it really is around Albion Barn. With country views all around, this contemporary barn has all the modernity and design you would expect. Retain the feeling of a life lived in a simpler age, and escape time and the complexity of modern living in this amazing location. What its got From the moment you drive up the lane to Albion Barn, you can feel time slowing down. This barn holds a secret, and that is the combination of innovative and modern design, in a location that soothes the soul. With traditional stone buildings all around you, there is a real sense of being able to live in peaceful community. There is plenty of space in the courtyard for parking, and there are 3 covered carports, that give great storage, and as you will see, even more character from the wooden beams that support them. The walled garden helps to create the feeling of living in a medieval manor with views of the beautiful stone farm house being visible from the garden. There is definitely nothing medieval about the interior of this barn though. As you approach Albion,, the large glass windows and doors of the sitting room create the feeling of invisible walls, allowing light to flood through the room. This emphasises the height and structure of the ceiling, which has a dramatic effect. This impression is continued with the design of 4 of the 5 bedrooms, 3 of which have very contemporary en suite bathrooms. With great views and access out to the garden highlighting the light, air and calm, you have found tranquillity. Being able to open up all the bedrooms to the outside, and out into the garden means you will defiantly feel the benefits of a more tranquil way of life. How great would it be to walk out in the morning, or even just to lie in bed and have such a panoramic view of the sunrise over the garden? When you?re done relaxing, why not invite all your family and friends down for a party? Throw open the doors from the sitting room and take the fun outside, or congregate with a glass or two of bubbly around the central island in the funky kitchen. You will certainly make a statement; the sweeping granite surfaces and warm stone flooring throughout the property certainly add the overall impression of solidity and character. When the party?s over, there are plenty of rooms for all your guests, including a great bedroom on the first floor with an en suite, perfectly contained. Perhaps you need a place for mum or dad, or you have a teenager desperate for their ?own? pad? The adjoining annexe comes complete with kitchen and bathroom, perfect; they can learn to cook. Life at Albion Barn really does give you the opportunity to slow down and take life easy, in a very special location. Come and feel your heart skip a beat, take a step back in time and put your best foot forward into this striking home.
