" Description    The White House at Barcombe Place offers versatile and modern accommodation within the heart of this very popular Sussex village. The property is approached via a gravel drive and paved pathway with front door leading into reception room/hallway. To the right is a door which leads into the sitting room with windows overlooking front paved garden. This room features a sloping timber panelled ceiling with feature fireplace and also a bricked archway with window looking onto the dining room. From the hallway there is a further door which leads into the kitchen/breakfast room with a large range of floor and wall mounted kitchen units including drawers with roll edged work surfaces, a stainless steel one and a half bowl sink with drainer, built-in four ring electric hob, built-in oven and microwave. There is also plumbing for a dishwasher and a further central island unit with storage cupboards beneath work surfaces. The breakfast area has double glazed windows and double glazed sliding patio doors

The games room has timber clad walls and lighting and is presently arranged as a billiard snooker room with a three quarter size table (not included in the sale). Situation    The village of Barcombe is just four to five miles north of Lewes and is a typical beautiful East Sussex village featuring amenities such as a shop, post office, primary school and newly-built village hall. A short distance away is the Cooksbridge railway station which has access to central London in just over an hour and is located between Lewes and Barcombe. The historic town of Lewes offers a range of shops including restaurants, high street banks, building societies, boutiques and wine bars. There are also retail parks located on the outskirts of the town incorporating Waitrose and Tesco. There is beautiful scenery and historical homes in the surrounding area, as well as the famous opera house at Glyndebourne. The railway station at Lewes separates the east and west lines offering services to Eastbourne, Hastings and Brighton. In addition there are regular services to London Victoria via Haywards Heath.
