Driffield Information Driffield is a traditional established market town which earned its title as Capital of the Wolds by virtue of its central position within the county. The larger towns of Bridlington, Beverley and Malton and cities of York and Hull are within easy travelling distance either by road, rail or bus.
The Driffield Agricultural Show, first held in 1854 is reputedly the largest one day show in the country and attracts large entries to its livestock and show jumping sections as well as handicrafts and many trade stands.
The town offers an excellent range of shopping facilities including national stores such as Wilkinsons, Boots, Tescos and Iceland Foods. A new industrial site is located on the western outskirts of the town and is set to provide continued growth and employment to the area.
