DETAILS LOCATION

Wightwick is one of the most highly regarded suburbs within the locality standing in a fine position on the western periphery of the Wolverhampton conurbation close to the South Staffordshire border. A full array of local facilities is available within Tettenhall village, Tettenhall Wood and the Compton shopping centre whilst there is convenient access to the more extensive amenities provided by the city centre itself. Motor communications are excellent with Telford, Shrewsbury and Birmingham all being within easy driving distance.

Mayswood Drive is a particularly exclusive cul-de-sac which lies off the renowned Tinacre Hill. The house stands in one of the finest positions within Mayswood Drive in a slightly elevated position with a lovely garden to the rear with a superb, matured backdrop.

The area is well served by schooling in both sectors with Birchfield Preparatory School, Wolverhampton Grammar School, Tettenhall College and St Dominics in Brewood being worthy of note.


DESCRIPTION

The attention to detail is exacting throughout with a blend of touch-sensitive and remote controlled light switches and dimmers to many of the principal rooms.

9 Mayswood Drive is approached through a double glazed porch which leads into the inviting reception hall which provides a light and airy entrance to the residence with tall double glazed windows to the front. The through drawing room provides a fine, formal reception space with a white painted Adam style fireplace, an air conditioning unit and double doors connecting to the dining room which enjoys lovely views over the rear garden. The sitting room provides a charming, relaxed environment and has been refurbished to a high standard including the Verine, remote controlled hole-in-the-wall fireplace which has concealed wiring suitable for the installation of plasma television above together with wiring for surround sound. The kitchen has an extensive range of gloss white contemporary units with granite working surfaces, a Neff four-ring induction hob, AEG stainless steel electric oven beneath and contemporary smoked glass and stainless steel extraction chimney above, an integrated Bosch dishwasher, inset skirting lighting, anti-slip Porcelanosa porcelain floor tiles, ceramic sink with an Aga Rangemaster mixer tap with filtered supply and a contemporary radiator. There is a useful laundry with a door to the side hall.

Stairs rise from the hall to the galleried landing which leads to the principal bedroom suite with a double glazed picture window to the front, laminated flooring, wide bank of fitted wardrobes and an air conditioning unit together with a full bathroom ensuite with Porcelanosa tiling. There are three further bedrooms with fitted wardrobes to bedroom 2. The bathroom is impressive with a well appointed white Porcelanosa suite, Porcelanosa tiling including metre wide wall tiles and a wide bank of storage cupboards.

The accommodation is completed with the garage which has been converted to provide a gym / leisure room with an insulated panel concealing the existing garage door, although this room could easily be re-converted to provide garaging should purchasers so desire.


OUTSIDE

The property stands in a superb position within Mayswood Drive in an elevated corner position with landscaped front lawns and a driveway laid in brick setts. The rear garden is well maintained with a wide patio leading to a two-tiered lawn beyond with two matured Corsican pines and two matured sycamores. The garden backs onto the National Trust land of Wightwick Manor and therefore benefits from a beautiful wooded backdrop.
