" This substantial 4 bedroom family home was originally constructed in 1961 with a lovely solid traditional feel. Today there is excellent potential for extension, for which planning was obtained in 2008 (now lapsed) for the addition of a single storey side and rear extension and installation of 3 dormer windows within the roof to create habitable space. During the past 7 years the property has undergone an extensive modernisation programme including re-wiring, the installation of double-glazing, refitment of the kitchen and bathroom and total redecoration. The large entrance lobby is a useful area to hang coats and kick off muddy shoes. This opens into the reception hall with its original wood block flooring that flows through into the main reception room. The generously sized living room is L-shaped and triple aspect, flooding the room with natural light and has French doors opening onto the rear garden. To one side is an open fireplace is inset with a log-burning stove making an attractive focal point to the room, as well as providing a cosy place to curl up in front of on those chilly winter?s evenings. To the front is a second reception room with built-in storage cupboards that makes an ideal study or family room. To the rear overlooking the garden is the kitchen/breakfast room that has been attractively refitted with a range of beech wood fronted Shaker style units with granite work surfaces inset with a gas hob with a stainless steel cooker hood over. The electric oven, microwave, wine refrigerator and dishwasher are all integrated and there is provision for an upright fridge/freezer and breakfast table. Completing the ground floor is a guest cloakroom that has been refitted with a contemporary style white suite. To the first floor are four bedrooms leading off the galleried landing, three of which are double rooms and the third a good single.
