" An exquisite architect designed house conveniently situated within easy reach of the M6 at Junction 13 and Stafford and Penkridge mainline railway stations. With a semi-rural setting the property has a wealth of exposed timbers, spacious rooms and large garden with heated outdoor swimming pool. Energy rating E.

This lovely house was designed and built by Kenneth Hutchinson Smith using handmade bricks and contains timbers which originally came from Bagot's Park. We understand that in 1719 Oak trees felled in the park were built into"Mary Segovia", a three-masted Brigantine Rig. Several years later she was broken up at Bristol. In 1787 the timbers were built into the roof of Beaudesert Hall. The hall was dismantled in 1932 and many of the timbers were built into Tudor House. (The above information is taken from the book "One Man's Dream" by Ron Davies. We believe that "Tudor House" is testimony to the architect's skill in blending the old with the 20th Century. The result is a house that looks and feels as if it has stood on the large plot of 1.6 acres for much longer than its 80 years. Happily over this time the house has clearly been carefully tended and the extensions are difficult to spot. The current owners have added, amongst other up to date improvements, high quality "Roca" bathrooms with underfloor heating and a condensing central heating boiler. The landscaped grounds with fields beyond form a suitable backdrop to this unique property. All this is within easy reach of the M6 and Stafford mainline station putting London within less than 1 hour 20 minutes travel..
