VENDORS THOUGHTS

The apple tree was the first thing we planted in our new garden ten years ago and the shady spot it creates on the steps half way down the garden is still our favourite place to sit. Since then we have transformed the house, uncovering original fireplaces, excavating the original stone flag kitchen floor, doing a loft conversion to create our lovely master bedroom with amazing views out towards Kinder, as well as fully damp-proofing the cellars to create a new bathroom, a utility room and a woodworking workshop space. Renovating this home has been a real labour of love, but it has been so rewarding to create such a brilliant family home and we have absolutely loved living here. Having the shops, primary school and train stations all within easy walking distance makes life so easy and New Mills is a great community to be part of, especially with young children. During lockdown it has been wonderful to have the garden as well as plenty of space for home working and for the children to play, not to mention the sett valley trail and fields all on our doorstep. We will be very sad to leave this lovely home where our two daughters have spent their early years, but we have an exciting new building project ahead of us so it is time for another family to enjoy this wonderful home.
