" The accommodation comprises a reception hall, three reception rooms, cloakroom, kitchen, study, master bedroom with en-suite bathroom and generous dressing room. Six further bedrooms, four further bathrooms, garaging, further outbuildings, heated swimming pool with retractable cover and mature gardens.Tifters boasts a fine history, reputed to have once been owned by Queen Mary's secretary back in the 1930s and even enjoyed a visit from Queen Mary herself, who planted a commemorative tree to celebrate the occasion. (She left a plaque which is available). It was also the subject of an interesting article in Country Life, dating back to November 1937. The property is approached by electric gates leading to a long block paved driveway, flanking secluded grounds which lead to a carriageway drive adjacent to an established moat style pond.The accommodation enjoys a wealth of charm and character throughout, with exposed Oak joinery with beams, studded and latch doors which were hand built back in 1930, several inglenook fireplaces to principle rooms and leaded light windows set in Oak frames. There are high ceilings throughout, with some of the bedrooms benefiting from vaulted ceilings and several having en-suite facilities. The accommodation has a comfortable atmosphere, yet retains much elegance, featuring a superb triple aspect sitting room, leading onto the wide terrace, gardens and swimming pool.
