" This prestigious and well maintained development was constructed in 2003 in the grounds of the former Douai Abbey School and having been architecturally inspired by buildings found at educational establishments such as Oxford University and Marlborough College. Number 76 is one of the more substantial (3521sqft) detached double-fronted properties situated in a small close, with well proportioned accommodation arranged over three floors and with far reaching country views from both the first and second floor levels. The property has recently been stylishly interior-designed throughout and the deep bays and tall ceilings are complemented by muted colours and sensitive lighting creating the feel of a contemporary "London House" in the country.

A large inviting entrance hall provides access to all the principal reception rooms. The sitting room is triple aspect with a bay window overlooking the quadrangle and patio doors extending onto the rear garden. A gas effect fire provides an ideal focal point for the room. The kitchen is generous in size and offers a range of fitted wall and base units with natural granite work surfaces incorporating an oven, separate combination microwave/oven, hob with extractor hood, space for fridge and freezer, coffee machine, waste disposal, water softener and dishwasher. An adjoining utility room provides additional space for a washing machine, dryer and sink, and there is also a door to the integral double garage. The kitchen is open plan to the ample dining room which is ideal for modern-day family dining and entertaining, and features a bay window and a door to the rear garden. A cloakroom and separate downstairs WC complete the downstairs accommodation.

The first floor boasts a gracious landing with wide bay window, giving a feeling of light and space, and provides access to the three principal suites, all enjoying en-suite facilities. The master bedroom also has a vaulted ceiling with views over neighbouring fields, an adjoining dressing room with an abundance of wardrobe space. The space and layout of the house provides flexibility and the current owners use this huge space as a second reception/study.
On the second floor there are two further bedrooms, one with en-suite shower room and a dressing area and again beautiful views. Bedroom five can also be used as a study.
