" This is a renovated 1874 Gatehouse Cottage situated in the quiet village of Higher Walton. The property is semi-detached with a spacious garden and off road parking accessed off a quiet access road. The house has 3 bedrooms, one with en suite, 1 family bathroom, kitchen diner, living room and utility room. Skylights are used through the cottage to maximise light and space. Both the kitchen diner and the living room have french doors opening on to the garden and double doors connecting them both to create an open plan feel. The kitchen has an integrated dishwasher and fridge with room for a second fridge in the utility room. The garden is spacious providing patio, gravel and artificial lawn which is therefore low maintenance. There is a large shed with its own power supply and space around the back of the house for bins. There are 2 wide boarders planted with perennial flowers, one that has a purpose built childs play house and one that has been designed as a wildlife area which includes a small pond. There is a nearby convenience shop, nursery, takeaways, Curry house, hairdressers and barbers, computer shop and sandwich shop. The area has easy access to several schools both primary and secondary, churches, parks, garden centre, Capital Centre Shopping, and central Preston as well as quick access to the M6, M65, M61 motorways. It is also well situated to access Bamber Bridge or Preston Central Train stations. This area is situated well for access to footpaths for walking and is a keen spot for dog walkers.
