" * A contemporary cottage with a modern twist *Situated in the heart of Southsea, only a few minutes walk from the seafront and the Canoe Lake, which is perfect for walks and picnics. In the other direction is the ever popular Albert Road with its many bars and restaurants. Hidden away is this 2 bedroom period cottage style property, laid out over 3 floors. From the front it's deceiving with its bay window and period features but the minute you open the door, there is a modern twist. Skimmed walls, spotlights, modern kitchen and bathroom and cast iron stairs to the basement./ bedroom.
On the ground floor you have a modern lounge with stairs to the basement and a fantastic kitchen with a host of built-in appliances. On the first floor, a great sized bedroom and modern bathroom with jacuzzi bath and mosaic tiling. Then you have the second bedroom/basement, accessed via the separate staircase. This would be perfect as an office or a guest bedroom. There is also a nice courtyard garden with decking and pergoda. Sounds great doesn't it! But wait - did we mention the private residents' parking? No more driving up and can't find a space.

I fell in love with this property the moment I walked through the door. It has a unique quirky feel and compared to others, it had a safe and very quite feel. It's a great location off the beaten track and secluded but close to Albert Road and some great walks on the seafront. I have decorated everywhere and added new wood flooring to the lounge, had built-in wardrobes added to the bedroom and had cavity wall insulation so the energy costs are really good. The parking is a bonus, no more searching for a parking space and walking in the rain.
