" What a great family home that is so versatile, having 2/3 bedrooms or four if you need a ground floor bedroom by using one of the two reception rooms. There are so many possibilities that this family home will suit your needs whatever you’re looking for.
The location is fantastic being so close to Prinstead harbour, Emworth, Southborune village centre and having Chichester and Portsmouth just a short drive away, convenient with minimal fuss.
Step inside and you instantly feel relaxed and welcome as this home is not just functional but homely. Downstairs your find the lounge at the front and a great family sitting room at the end of the hall, flowing into the kitchen/dining room, there’s even a separate utility room, perfect for dumping the washing out of sight, let’s face it with a family the washing machine seems to be constantly going and how nice to not have all that noise in the kitchen.
Upstairs you’ll find two double bedrooms and a single together with a family bathroom and large loft. The loft has not been converted although there is a velux window in place and would make a great room, subject to planning consent.
Into the rear private garden and you can see how it would lend itself to entertaining alfresco, having friends over for a glass of wine and a b-b-q. Being low maintenance you’ll have more time to enjoy the south facing garden rather than constantly mowing the lawn. Pop out of the back gate and you will find your parking space.

When I first saw 284 it was very tired and dated, but I could see the potential for a lovely family home. I fenced the south-facing garden, refitted the kitchen, replaced the bathroom suite, installed a new condensing boiler, sanded the floorboards and decorated throughout. There are still a few superficial improvements that could be made in time, but it is now a light, modern and friendly home.
We have loved living here with the convenience of shops in the village and the train station just down the road. On top of that - there are beautiful walks down to the sea from the doorstep.
We are relocating to Brighton - and would take the house with us if we could... We've had very happy times in it.
