SITUATION Plymouth is a city adjacent to one of the most natural harbours in the world. To the North is the Dartmoor National Park extending to over 300 square miles and which provides excellent recreational facilities. Plymouth itself has a population of well over 200,000 and has a full range of shopping, educational and sporting facilities. There is mainline train service to London (Paddington) and to Penzance in West Cornwall. Plymouth has its own airport with flights to London (Gatwick) and other inland destinations. Brittany Ferries operates seasonal services from Plymouth to France and Northern Spain.
DESCRIPTION Located on this level avenue close to College Road Primary School, the Dockyard and a nearby park, within this residential area just two and a half miles from the City Centre. Served by a range of local amenities and a regular bus route to the city, this house was built circa 1950 following the second world war to replace an earlier Edwardian house that was destroyed during Plymouth's Blitz. The house would benefit from updating and redecoration however has a gas central heating system with a Worcester condensing boiler that has only been installed within the last few years. The house is extremely spacious and has three separate reception rooms, therefore the dining room could easily serve as a double bedroom with the breakfast room providing ample dining space. Alternatively the master bedroom which has two large windows (including a bay window) could be sub-divided to create an additional bedroom. In fact all of the bedrooms are doubles with the third bedroom, which is positioned at the back of the house also having a bay window. One of the things that surprised us about the house is the huge amount of storage space on offer, there are fitted cupboards in the dining room, and breakfast room, two large walk in storage cupboards in the reception hall, two large full height cupboards on the landing and fitted original wardrobes in each of the three bedrooms. To the rear of the property there is an enclosed walled courtyard which itself has storage sheds and an outside toilet. There will be no onward chain.
