LOCATION Calstock is a large village on the border of Devon and Cornwall, on the west bank of the River Tamar. The village is within the Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is part of the Tamar Valley World Heritage site. Local attractions include the National Trust Cotehele House, within a few miles. The fascinating countryside of this part of the Tamar Valley is extraordinary dominanted by the wide meandering tidal River Tamar with its regular passage of pleasure craft. Within a short walk of the property there are several local shops and a pub, while the village is served by a primary school and, most notably, a railway station which provides a service to the Penzance to Paddington line at Plymouth. DESCRIPTION The single storey dwelling forms part of a collection of buildings which lie in the centre of the village adjoining the waterfront. Proceed to Callington and turn right onto the A390 continuing to St Ann's Chapel and then about ? of a mile after the Rifle Volunteer public house, turn right as signposted to Calstock. When reaching Calstock follow the road down the hill, passing the railway station and at the bottom of the hill bear right towards the quayside area and immediately before reaching the bus stop, an unsurfaced lane will be found on the right.
