SITUATION    Kennington is a much favoured village on the outskirts of Oxford between the River Thames and the A34. The A34 gives easy access to the M40, M4 and to Oxford Station and Didcot Parkway train station with regular fast train services to London Paddington. There are also cycle routes to Oxford and Abingdon. Kennington has many amenities including a public house (The Tandem), health centre, two shops, a post office and a pharmacist. There are two sports fields, a village hall and three active churches.
