" A fabulous Grade II Listed period home situated in the picturesque and sought-after village of Hartest. The property is believed to date back to the 17th - 18th Century and is a timber framed house with rendered elevations under a tiled roof. Although the property has been renovated and altered in its past it does still retain a high degree of charm and occupies an important place in the village scene.

The property is well presented, while still offering scope for further modernization and improvement. The home has a wonder homely feel and offers well proportioned, versatile accommodation and a viewing is highly recommended to appreciate the charm that it has to offer.

Directions From our office in Long Melford, proceed north turning left at The Green. Upon leaving the village take the B1066, the first turn on your right signed posted to Stanstead, and proceed through the attractive villages of Stanstead and Boxford, until reaching Hartest. Proceed through the villages centre, up the hill, where Poorhouse Cottages will be found at the top of this, just before the bend, on your left hand-side market with a Sheridans For Sale board. If you continued along this road, this would eventually lead you to Bury St Edmunds. "
