" Sitting in a beautiful semi rural setting in the heart of Pirbright village, this is a fabulous attached period home that has been superbly extended by our clients. No small amount of care and attention to detail has gone into the work that has been carried out and the result is a hugely warm and comfortable family home that very much blends the charm of the Victorian period with the expectations of contemporary family life. The layout and the size of the rooms means that the house works extremely well on a practical day to day living basis with large informal areas that allow for today's open plan style of living. This is no more so the case than in the stunning kitchen/family room which is fabulously fitted out with a very comprehensive range of oak units and granite worksurfaces. In the centre is a delightful Aga while other integrated appliances include a dishwasher and there is further space for a large American fridge/freezer. The floor which runs through into the family room is a delightful Fired Earth slate tiled floor all of which goes together with the kitchen fittings to create a very contemporary and extremely attractive space. The open plan family area has a semi vaulted ceiling and two sets of doors that lead out to the terrace and rear garden, all of which works exceptionally well during the spring and summer months and goes with the kitchen, making a wonderful informal day to day living space for the house.

Adjacent to this, there is also a separate dining room, with a lovely rich Walnut floor, which overlooks the rear garden. On the other side of the hallway, a very cosy sitting room overlooks the side of the house and has a delightful limestone surround open working fireplace.

On the first floor, the bedrooms continue in the same light, airy and well proportioned manner with a master bedroom that overlooks the garden and has its own en-suite which can also access the main family shower room, if required. On the other side of the landing there is a further second double bedroom with a lovely view out over the side of the property. On the top floor, there are two further double bedrooms and a very well proportioned landing which would make an ideal study/sitting area. All in all this is a very cleverly and thoughtfully extended family home in a wonderful village location. "
