" The owners bought this property nearly 10 years ago as they needed a large family home big enough to accommodate their growing family. They particularly liked the idea of the house being on 4 levels as it would offer much needed privacy for them and their teenage children. The house has undergone some refurbishment over the last decade yet still retains many period features, from the entrance hall with its hardwood front door and its stripped and polished floors through to the main reception area with its stunning marble fireplace and full height shutters over the sash windows. Even the more modern additions retain a character feel from the well equipped kitchen to the bathrooms with localised tiling. The house itself is situated within a sought after conservation area within the Windmill Hill area with its country style lanes and characterful pubs boasting wonderful gardens where you can enjoy a quiet drink on a sunny afternoon or summers evening.Just a short walk away are all the facilities of the town centre and the railway station which boasts a fast service direct into central London.

What the Owner says:

The nest is empty and it is time to downsize and leave our lovely family home. The children have really loved our period home, which is situated within a conservation area with a real village atmosphere. The close proximity to good local grammar schools and sporting facilities meant that they became independent and did not have to rely on mum’s taxi! The new high speed train link now means that we can be in the West End for the theatre or shopping in under an hour from leaving home. If London isn’t your style then Bluewater is only a 10-minute drive away and offers a comprehensive selection of quality shopping and entertainment.
