" Millfield Cottage is a timber framed property under a thatched roof and is believed to date from the seventeenth century. This Grade II listed property is located along a country lane on the outskirts of Broxted, with an open aspect to all sides. Prospective viewers should be advised that existing ceiling heights to the main reception rooms are currently quite low, therefore work maybe required to lower the floor level.

The accommodation has a large sitting room with an Inglenook fireplace and log burner, a seperate dining room also with an Inglenook fireplace (currently closed) a playroom/study, a kitchen with ceramic hob, built in double oven and slimline dishwasher, plus a seperate utility/bootroom and finally a ground floor cloakroom. The first floor has three bedrooms and a family bathroom.

To the front there is a sweeping in and out drive as well as off street parking and a detached garage which does require some attention. To the rear, there is a wide brick pavioured terrace. The main garden is laid mainly to lawn with scattered trees and a charming thatched shed. To the north side of the property and in addition to the main garden is an additional area of land perhaps best suited to a paddock.Directions

From the centre of Takeley (between Bishops Stortford and Great Dunmow) turn into Parsonage Road and follow north for approximately 1mile to a mini roundabout. Turn immediately right and follow the country road, turning right at the Three Horseshoes Public House and follow this road for approximately one mile, go to the T junction turn right and follow this lane into Browns End Road and Millfield Cottage will be found on the right hand side after approximately half a mile. "
