" For the first time in thirty years, number one Albany Villas is coming to the market! This beautiful detached Grade II listed residence has been in the same family for decades and is situated on one of the most desirable streets in central Hove, minutes from both the seafront promenade and amenities which that location offers. A superb Italianate villa, the house is believed to date from the 1830s and has an attractive double-fronted, fa?ade with canopied balconies on either side over lovely tall sash windows.

At the front, black wrought iron railings border a front courtyard area and two off-road parking spaces.   The central path leads up to the impressive, pedimented front door, beyond which is a lovely wide hallway with high ceilings and cornicing commensurate with properties of this period. Off to the left hand side is a sitting room running the full depth of the property, with a superb bay window at the front with wrought-iron bounded balconies both at the front and rear. The rear balcony is deep enough to accommodate a table and chairs and has gives directly onto the charming, mature garden down a few steps. On the right hand side a well-proportioned separate dining room again has a beautiful bay window with canopied balcony beyond. Behind this is the kitchen with breakfast area leading out onto a further terrace again giving onto the garden via a few steps. The kitchen also has access to the covered side return, which offers useful storage opportunities, as well as separate access to the lower ground floor accommodation. There is a further internal stairway leading down from the kitchen to the lower ground floor, where there are two bedrooms, a sitting room, kitchen, bathroom and cloakroom. There are also two storage cupboards and a garage. This space is ideal for conversion and has the potential to be used as a large kitchen-breakfast area, or perhaps cinema/games room, childrens' play area, wine cellar or separate accommodation for a family member or to rent out.

On the first floor are two large double bedroom suites, each with their own generous dressing rooms and en-suite bathrooms. This floor offers glimpses of the sea as well as further scope for reconfiguration to create a third bedroom sharing one bathroom whilst still maintaining a well-proportioned master bedroom suite. The top floor is currently configured as a studio space with one large room and a kitchenette and bathroom so could be kept as such, perhaps for teenage space or guest accommodation, or again rearranged to create two bedrooms again with a shared bathroom.

This striking family house offers a fantastically rare opportunity to obtain a detached residence in one of Hove's most desirable streets. A truly lovely home with the potential to make it absolutely your own.

Outside
The garden is wide with mature planting which offers privacy and seclusion. There is a pretty covered patio seating area, ideal for family get-togethers and lazy days in the garden. "
