" This 1920's detached bungalow offers the ultimate in flexible family living, with a large self-contained annexe, a loft conversion, great reception space and a fantastic half acre plot.

DETAILS Thrums was built in the 1920's and has been extended over the years to provide both a self-contained annexe and a welcoming family home. The main house has a utility room/glazed entrance porch at the rear, with a door through to a shower room and with plenty of space for appliances, leading through to a fabulous open plan kitchen/dining room. This room is well planned and is the real hub of the home, with plenty of room at the breakfast table or the dining table for the family to gather. Double doors lead to the sitting room, which is a lovely room which benefits from views over both the front and rear garden, and has an exposed brick chimney breast with an open fire - a cosy place to sit in the evening. Also within this part of the house is a charming guest bedroom which would easily accommodate a large double bed or twin beds, and has an outlook over the front garden and across fields beyond. From the dining room there is a staircase leading to the loft conversion, which provides a wonderful master bedroom with views over fields to the front of the house, two good sized single bedrooms and a family bathroom.

The annexe is contained within the original part of the house and although is self-contained with a separate entrance, can also be accessed via an internal door from the dining room in the main part of the house if needed. The annexe is now in need of modernisation and decoration, which offers the perfect chance for a new owner to create a space that works for their individual needs. Currently there is a living room in the centre with a side aspect bay window, a hallway leading to both the bedroom and front door, and an inner hallway leading to the bathroom and ultimately the kitchen. The bedroom is a light and spacious room, with two sash windows to the front and side overlooking the front garden, and an open fireplace. The inner hallway has plenty of built-in storage cupboards and houses the hot water cylinder, and leads to the bathroom which has both a bath and a separate shower cubicle, and the kitchen, which is a fantastic size and overlooks the rear garden. This space would be ideal for an older relative or nanny/au pair to occupy, and although joined to the main house feels quite separate. "
