" Briarwood is a detached, two bedroom bungalow which occupies an elevated position and stands in good size gardens within this popular village some 4 miles west of Malton. The property, which we understand was built in 1925, is constructed of brick under a hipped, clay pantile roof. The bungalow is now in need of modernisation and improvement but offers excellent scope to create a fantastic home. Whilst there are only two bedrooms, the accommodation extends to over 1750 sq. ft and with a huge roof space offers further potential for more bedrooms upstairs (subject to securing the necessary consents).
There are good sized gardens to all sides and the total plot size amounts to 0.317 acres or thereabouts. A driveway from the main village street leads to a single garage.
Barton-le-Street is one of the 'street' villages along the line of the former Roman road (now the B1257); the village abuts the northern boundary of the Howardian Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Good local facilities can be found in Malton and Helmsley.
