" The circular drive leads to a full depth canopied entrance, which is a thoughtful touch allowing covered access from the car to the house. The reception hall sets the scene skillfully blending the traditional with the contemporary and full height windows flood the area with natural light. To the right is the drawing room that is serenely quiet and it is easy to picture Roger Hargreaves penning the Mr Men stories at his desk in the front bay. A bold central fireplace with its Art Deco breast gives the room that lovely traditional feel and patio doors to the rear open on to a terrace with a magnificent old wisteria covered arbour. Our clients have made further substantial improvements and brought the specification up to date with zoned underfloor heating, a fully integrated media system and the addition of a spectacular conservatory, with its vaulted glass roof, that stretches across the rear of the kitchen to create informal dining and seating areas. The continuous marble travertine floor links the kitchen and conservatory and the seating area has a co-ordinating feature marble wall inset with a contemporary gas ribbon fire. Retractable curtain panelling screens a further seating area that is fitted with a bespoke television cabinet and storage units by Hyperion. From this area a beautiful Art Deco style staircase winds up to a galleried study/library. The handmade kitchen by Kitchen Culture of Esher is a work of craftsmanship designed for those that take their cooking seriously but without compromising on style and is beautifully finished in solid mazar birch wood inlayed burred walnut panels and detailing. This incorporates many of the traditional much loved features of wide deep draws, vegetable baskets, spice racks and a butchers blocks with the latest fashions of roller fronted appliance cabinets, beverage stations and a pull out larder. There are a comprehensive array of appliances including two circotherm, steam and microwave/combination ovens, gas and induction hobs, filtered drinking water and an integrated coffee machine to name but a few. In addition, there is a separate well equipped deli kitchen/utility room that can be used by caterers for parties. Completing the ground floor are two double bedrooms and a bathroom leading of an inner hall and a tastefully appointed guest cloakroom. To the first floor are two suites that open onto a balcony and enjoy panoramic views over the garden, river and bird reserve beyond. The sumptuously appointed master suite is a delightful room a wash with natural light and fitted with a range of hardwood furniture and has a vaulted ceiling inset with a retractable flat screen television and integrated audio system. The opulent marble tiled en-suite bathroom has been created as a sanctuary with the centre piece being an infinity bath with chromotherapy lighting and spa jets. In addition there is a large steam shower cubical, twin basins, separate wc and a dressing room. "
