" Buying a bungalow can be tricky. It’s not so much the property itself that dictates, more the surroundings and access. For most it appears the dream bungalow needs to be: On the flat, it needs to have good space if you’re downsizing, to be near to shops and amenities, to be on a bus route, to be in a nice area and to have a garden that’s big, but not so big that it becomes a problem to manage. Agreed? So what are the chances of finding a property that ticks all of these boxes, still feels homely, and crucially doesn’t need any work? Pretty good actually….
Just a short walk from the High Street is Orchard Glade, a highly regarded close of bungalows with a good community spirit. There is no through traffic and the close is all on the flat so there’s no inclines or hills to climb when you do take a stroll to the shops. The property in question has an extended lounge, which has changed the property completely. From it’s rather narrow original design it has been extended with a pitched roof to approx. 22’4 square. It makes an enormous difference on the inside even more so on the outside as it separates what was a long patch of side garden into a private breakfast area for you to enjoy in the warmer months immediately accessed off of the master bedroom.
There is a separate dining room and kitchen, bathroom and three bedrooms, all well proportioned and sensibly laid out, and to the front lots of off road parking and a garage/workshop.

What the Owner says:

We saw a lot of potential in the property when we bought it and although it wasn't our intention to extend it i'm pleased we did. Everyone comments on the lounge because you just don't expect it when you come in, it just opens up in front of you. Its enormous and fantastic for families and Christmases.
My favourite part of the house though is the rear patio, its lovely to sit and read the paper in the summer with a drink out side, and it's so quiet here, just the sound of the odd passing car or train. It really is a lovely place to live.
