" Built as a one off home ‘Rigo‘ was planned in meticulous detail from day one. The owners had a vision of creating not only a beautiful place to live but also a home that was energy efficient and finished to the highest standard - and not just on the surface. Guaranteeing the quality of build is about using quality materials - from the windows and doors to the floor tiles and even the timbers used within the walls, nothing here has been left to chance. With a focus on energy efficiency they ensured that the insulation in the walls and ceiling were far beyond the required levels of a standard new build - and with a high energy efficiency rating, under floor heating throughout the Ground floor and an air source heat pump rather than oil - any future owner will be endlessly thankful to them. This is a home that even provides you with an income as you will receive RHI payments courtesy of the air source heat pump, as these are transferable to the new owner.
This 4 Bedroom detached house sits in the centre of the picturesque village of Challock, known for its country walks, its proximity to Ashford, Faversham and Canterbury and its award winning primary school - which is a 5 minute walk from the automated front gates.
The house itself is everything you could hope for. It‘s as impressive inside as it is out. From the moment you step across the threshold you‘ll see the quality and attention to detail. There is a natural logical flow that has been designed to fit the need of modern families.
The Ground floor has a Cloakroom and a Lounge measuring 18ft by 13‘6. The centre piece of the room is an exposed brick fireplace with a log burner. It cries out for the winter months and dreams of flickering flames and hot chocolate after a walk in the countryside. The Kitchen Diner is the hub of the home. It‘s a room that is perfect for entertaining and no expense has been spared here with Neff appliances and a Roma fitted Kitchen. The central island is your cooking station with its induction hob and elevated hood - thoughtfully designed so it doesn‘t get in the way of a conversation (and so you don‘t hit your head while you cook). It‘s very much the meeting point of the house. A place you find yourself standing as soon as you come in while you discuss the days events, or to sit while you grab a quick bite to eat. The Dining space here too is excellent, and it‘s nice to have the formalinformal Dining option. It‘s a perfect room for celebrations, events and Christmas. However the Summer is where this room really excels as you can sweep open the triple track sliding doors and let the inside join the outside. A large Indian Sandstone patio awaits with space for everyone - and there‘s even space for a hot tub if you feel the need.
From the Kitchen there is a well designed back area in the form of the Utility Room

(the perfect place to hide all of the things you don‘t want out on display when friends unexpectedly arrive) and also the Garage via a private access door. The Garage has an electric insulated sectional door and could be used for a variety of alternative reasons - such as a home gym - as required.
The First floor impresses with its galleried landing. Originally the thought here was to add a fifth Bedroom, however in trying to create the right feel in the design the fifth Bedroom was removed in favour of opening the space and allowing more light to flood in. What was designated as closed Bedroom space has become open Office space and the benefit is clear to see.
There are four remaining Bedrooms here, three are sizeable double rooms and the Master is a colossal 19ft long with built in wardrobes and a stunning En suite Shower Room, all with high quality fittings.
Outside, the Garden is a joy. From the rear of the House it‘s approximately 108ft which gives you ample space for the family and for entertaining, but doesn‘t become a burden for you to attend to in your free time. There is a custom built workshop at the rear of the Garden to match the custom built log store at the front of the house. The back and front gardensareas flow without partitioning as the whole area is secure all the way to the brick pillars and the electric gates to the front. There is parking for four to five cars on the driveway.

Finding the perfect family home is never going to be easy. Ultimately the perfect home is about feel as much as the sum of its parts.. but when the parts are this good it‘s a spectacular place to begin.
