Situation

Coalbrookdale is a long established locality nestling in the wooded slopes of The Dale and close to the Ironbridge Gorge, a little over four miles south west of the wide range of facilities at Telford town centre. The area was at the heart of the Industrial Revolution, which in 1779 resulted in the world’s first iron bridge being constructed over the River Severn at nearby Ironbridge, and with the Gorge and the local museums forming part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, is now recognised as a premier tourist area.

 

The property

Comprises a living room which has a beautiful period style fireplace and door to inner hall with staircase ascending to the first floor and access to the dining room.  The dining room has an inset wood burning stove, quarry tiled flooring, door to kitchen and door leading to staircase which descends to the cellar.  The kitchen has an external door leading to the side, a range of base and wall units, integrated oven and hob and space for appliances. 

 

On the first floor there is a small landing area giving access to two bedroom and bathroom/wc.  The master bedroom has a beautiful period fireplace.  The second bedroom has a built-in wardrobe.  The bathroom/wc has a suite comprising P shaped bath with mixer shower over, wash hand basin and low level wc.

 

Outside

To the side there is an extensive garden area with pathway, seating area, vegetable patches and currently two fenced pens.  There is an outhouse incorporating store area and access to a wc. 

 

How to get there – from the of Ironbridge office proceed along The Wharfage – turn right at the mini island and proceed past the school and turn right into Station Road – proceed along and descend where the property is on the left hand side indicated by a Nick Tart for sale board.
