Property Features - A 4 Bedroom Semi Detached Property

- Fantastic Reception Space
- Large Kitchen Diner
- Front and Rear Gardens
- Private Off Road Parking
- Lovely Views
- Just 7 Miles from Shrewsbury The Property 6 Halston Cottages offers one lucky buyer the opportunity to purchase not only a well presented 4 bedroom home, but also a self contained annexe. Located in the hamlet of Lea Cross, just 7 miles from Shrewsbury, the property enjoys lovely views to the surrounding countryside and hills beyond. Approached from the lane a tarmacadam driveway provides ample parking and leads you to the generous foregarden. An oak entrance door opens to the porch which is ideal for taking off those muddy boots after a long walk in the countryside. Number 6 has tons of reception space, which starts with the kitchen diner. Without a doubt the hub of the home and somewhere you and the family will spend a lot of time, the well appointed kitchen is complemented by a well proportioned dining area. Further reception space is found in the living room which feels as though it would be the cosy area you'd turn to on a cold winters night. On a sunny day however, if you're not in the garden, you'll definitely be found in the family room. Measuring over seven and a half metres in length, this huge room has space for all the family, probably a fair few of your friends too, so special occasions are well catered for. Also on the ground floor you'll find the study/fourth bedroom which looks out to the front garden, a smartly fitted shower room and also the utility room which is off the kitchen.

On the first floor there are three further bedrooms all accessed from the landing. The main bedroom enjoys a lovely view and has a walk-in wardrobe, the two remaining bedrooms also have pleasant views of their own, one to the front, one to the rear. The family bathroom is also located on the first floor and is fitted with a modern white suite and has a stylish tiled finish.

The annexe has it's own seperate access through the sun room but can also be entered from the main house through the utility room. The annexe is completely self contained and would be perfect for a relative wishing to maintain, or begin, independent living. The sun room has a light and airy ambiance and looks out to the rear garden. The kitchen is fitted with everything you need and has a downstairs WC off. The living room is located to the front and upstairs there is a galleried landing leading to the bedroom and modern en-suite shower room. If it would suit your needs/lifestyle to greater effect as one large house the annexe could be easily opened up to the main house, the sun room could be incorporated into the family room the other side and the internal access could be opened up further.

The gardens are also a great feature of this home. As previously mentioned, the front garden is a good size, consisting of the driveway and further lawned and gravelled areas. Gated side access leads you to the rear garden which is also a good size. A gravelled seating area provides the perfect place for a family barbecue while the generous lawn and children's play area gives the children somewhere to run around. There's a greenhouse and raised bed if you'd like to try your hand at a little horticulture while there's also a large timber shed which would make a super workshop. It's also worth noting there is a bus stop outside the property for schools. The Village Lea Cross lies 7 miles outside of Shrewsbury and is less than 15miles from the Welsh border. It is named Lea Cross because it lies at the cross roads of the A488 Shrewsbury to Bishops Castle road and the minor road from the hamlet of Lea to that of Arscott. There are 5 hamlets of Lea with Lea Cross being the only one to have a church, which was built in 1888. Lea Cross, although a small hamlet, does however have a golf club, fishing pools and horse riding nearby, as well as a popular Indian restaurant located in the former Lea Cross tavern, newly refurbished and an ideal option for those nights you just don?t want to cook, or to nip out with visitors to your new home! As well as Shrewsbury not being far away, Pontesbury has many amenities, shops, eateries, medical centre and schools and is only 2 miles away from Lea Cross. The Town Shrewsbury, the birth place of Charles Darwin, is a vibrant and lively town with a very cosmopolitan yet traditional atmosphere. The town?s 660 listed buildings are complimented by a host of trendy and sophisticated bars and restaurants, the medieval streets do however still retain many classic public houses and dining establishments. Built on the River Severn the town hosts the annual Shrewsbury Flower Show which is one of the largest and oldest horticultural shows in the country attracting over 100,000 visitors. Home to 4 shopping centres, 2 significant retail parks and countless independent retailers the town is an excellent place to enjoy some retail therapy. If you prefer to spend your time soaking up a little more culture the Theatre Severn provides many varied productions and entertainment, or perhaps a visit to the Shrewsbury Museum and Art Gallery or Shrewsbury Castle would be more fitting. Other places of note are ?The Quarry? a 29 acre riverside park, the largely unchanged Medieval Market place, Shrewsbury Abbey, the 9 bridges crossing the river Severn most notably the English and Welsh bridges, the Lord Hill?s Column ? the largest free-standing Doric column in the world and the Shropshire Agricultural Showground which hosts one of the county?s most important agricultural shows. The town has many sporting and recreational facilities including Shrewsbury Town Football Club, who play their home games at the purpose built New Meadow stadium, Shrewsbury Rugby Club, Shrewsbury Rowing Club and Shrewsbury Motorcross Club to name but a few. There are also a number of popular golf clubs in and around the town, a good selection of Gymnasiums and Health Clubs and a thriving running scene. Accommodation List Entrance Porch 2.33m x 1.10m
