" What the seller says

We purchased our Victorian end terrace as a soon to be married couple. Having lived in a flat in Brockley for two years, we were looking for the space and privacy of our own home.

This house appealed to us, with its very generous room sizes, period features and affordable price tag. We knew the house had fantastic potential and we have invested in it, turning it into an attractive modern home with recently renovated bathroom and brand new kitchen.

The house itself provided excellent space for a young couple. The garden is a very peaceful spot and, along with two comfortable double bedrooms, fantastic entertaining space and a well proportioned kitchen, we have enjoyed entertaining friends on many an afternoon and evening.

Access to shops has also been second to none with the nearby Sainsbury´s making late night runs for last minute supplies quick and easy. We also have a very active neighbourhood watch and have found our neighbours to be exceptionally kind, lending us gardening tools and even baking us a cake on the odd occasion.

When we purchased the house we were still relatively new to London and keen to explore as much of it as possible. We loved being close to excellent transport links at Catford and Catford Bridge Stations.

Both stations are just a 15 minute walk away and give easy access to Victoria, London Bridge, Cannon Street, Waterloo and St Pancras. Well situated for commuting, but also fantastic for going out with regular trains in the evening and at weekends.

Since then, the arrival of the East London Line in nearby Forest Hill & Sydenham, has opened up trendy East London for us to explore.

Now a few years later, with a little boy, the house location gives us a fantastic family lifestyle. Our large reception room provides plenty of room to play, with our guest room now an enviably sized nursery.

As a family we have spent hours at the nearby play park, strolling along the river walk and exploring the bountiful greenery around where we live. There are also plentiful blackberries ripe for picking in late summer leading the way to Waterlink Way - a cycle superhighway with beautiful views that takes your straight to the Thames.

We were also fortunate to find two outstanding nurseries on our doorstep, both on the way to the station for easy drop off and collection. We have had recommendations for both, but had our son signed up for the fantastic Rose House Montessori.

In addition we also have a number of great primary schools nearby, all rated good or outstanding. As a couple starting out, and then as a young family this house has offered us both the location and space to be our ideal home.
