" A Grade II Listed four bedroom detached cottage located at the end of a no through lane opposite the church, standing in attractive walled gardens of approximately 0.141 of an acre. The property provides character accommodation arranged on three floors. Sympathetically maintained by the current owner the property comprises a welcoming entrance hall with a wide staircase leading to the first floor & doors give access to the adjacent rooms. The kitchen/breakfast room is fitted with a range of base & eye level units with ample work surfaces & an integrated double oven. The windows to the front & rear elevations provide a good amount of natural light whilst for more formal occasions, the dining room provides a good entertaining space & has an open fireplace, a window to the front elevation with a window seat & french doors lead onto the rear garden. This room was once used as an art studio for the Art & Language movement & became the scene for a number of highly considered paintings. The sitting room is full of charm & character with a large inglenook fireplace. There is a window to the front & a useful walk in storage cupboard. Chacombe is situated to the north east of Banbury, just outside Middleton Cheney. The majority of the village was designated as a conservation area in April 1986. More comprehensive facilities can be found in nearby Banbury to include the Castle Quay Shopping Centre, Gateway Retail Park and Spiceball Park Leisure Centre. A mainline railway station can also be found in Banbury & the M40 provides access to both London and Birmingham from Jct 11.
