" Originally this was a corner shop and the property retains many of its original features but has been brought right up to date. The lower ground floor cellar has been beautifully decorated and is now very atmospheric. It was originally the meat cellar and retains part of the original (but not used) stairs from the shop above. It is used by the current vendors as their dining room, is accessed from the kitchen and makes a great space for dining and entertaining. The vendors have said you can play your music as loud as you like down there because no one can hear you! The large lounge is open to the kitchen, it has high ceilings and again has been brought right up to date. The windows span all round the corners of the front of the house and the open plan living provides a great party space. On this floor is also a modern shower room (with toilet) and an integral garage, which has plenty of space for a good sized car and storage. On the first floor there is a modern bathroom and 3 extra large double bedrooms. There is even enough space to create 5 bedrooms should you wish to. It would be so easy to continue the stairs up to the roof to create a patio roof garden (subject to consents), which would give you great views of the surrounding countryside. This unique property has so much to offer for the price! It needs to be seen to believe just how large the accommodation is and with those high ceilings it really does make for light and airy rooms.

What the Owner says:

We have really enjoyed living in our spacious and comfortable home, high ceilings make all of the rooms light and airy. The house walls are solid meaning there is no noise from our neighbours.

We have lived here for 12 years and we are aware that even though we are moving up the property ladder, we will inevitably be downsizing in our accommodation. Our integral garage is nice and large and you can still open the door to get out of your car once parked! The surrounding countryside offers beautiful walks on our doorstep, which can take you across fields of horses, sheep and cattle, not to mention lambing in the spring!
