" The property is largely Georgian with older origins and was the dower house to nearby Clare House. The property has an abundance of character and period features and offers enormous versatility and potential.

The majority of the house dates from 1790 but there is a portion to the front that has older origins. The house was believed to be formerly the dower house to nearby Clare House and when gentrified, an older house was chosen to be substantially extended. The result is a house with two facades.

The principal front door opens to a vestibule that leads to the substantial reception hall with feature fireplace with panelling above. The drawing room and sitting room are in the Georgian section and have high ceilings and superb bow windows. Both rooms have open fireplaces with marble surrounds. There are two further reception rooms. One is currently a dining room and one is a music room. There is also a study. The main kitchen is on the eastern side of the house with an Aga and separate breakfast room that opens to the garden. However there is a second kitchen indicating the house could be divided for multi-generational living. There is also a large 3 room cellar.

The master bedroom on the first floor has an ensuite bathroom. The guest bedroom connects with a bedroom, then bathroom and then another bedroom. It is considered this would make a superb suite. The property is located in the heart of East Malling 0.4 mile from the station with mainline links to London Victoria.

The popular town of West Malling is 1.3 miles with its excellent range of boutique shops and restaurants. There is also a mainline station.

The house is located 2.5 miles from Junction 4 of the M20 and 5.7 miles from the County Town of Maidstone with its extensive shopping and recreational facilities. There are also numerous excellent schools including Maidstone Grammar School for boys, Maidstone Girls Grammar and Invicta Grammar School.

Leisure facilities in the area include golf at West Malling and Kings Hill and swimming at Larkfield.
