" When you think of Rochester, you think of a town steeped in history. Take a walk down the historic High Street and the influences of days gone by are hard to miss. Whether you are visiting the Sweeps or Dickens Festivals, or enjoying the Castle and Cathedral on any given Sunday you get a sense of a town with many tales to tell. Not least, the town’s Victorian influence.
Imagine if you could live in a home which showcased the elegance and features of the Victorian era. Look no further than this two bedroom terrace house in the ever popular Bishops Square.
The owner has lovingly restored a home to its former glory, whilst tastefully incorporating in-keeping modern elements to give 21st century comforts and luxuries. As soon as you walk through the front door, the influences hit you, with the stripped back and restored original wood flooring and the feature fireplace in the front reception room. The lounge continues the theme with another Victorian fireplace and this leads on to the kitchen. Here you find a modern, yet tasteful room with all your mod cons. Upstairs you can enjoy two double bedrooms, and the bathroom. The bathroom, like the kitchen is again sympathetically modern. Imagine lying back in the roll top bath surrounded by the fitted uplights after a hard day’s work.
Don’t restrict yourself to just the house, you’re under half a mile from getting back into the High Street, or (unfortunately) to the railway station for work.

What the Owner says:

When I viewed this house, I was struck by the age and the character. I have to say I did not want to leave! I saw the potential here and have spent my time restoring throughout and creating what has been my sanctuary where I can also feel comfortable and safe. I have restored as many of the original features as I could, including the original floor boards and the lovely fireplaces. I love sitting here and enjoying the result of my hard work inside and also love spending time in the garden. I think there is a real ‘country’ feel out there. The sun hits on my benches into the evenings and is a really relaxing area.
