" Overview
House Network are pleased to offer to the market this spacious and well presented four bedroom detached house in the sought after location of Thurston, 4 miles from Bury St Edmunds.

Tucked down the end of a no-through road, the property is private and surrounded by countryside, but is still close to the village centre and local schools. The property, which was built in 1994, benefits from double glazing throughout, has oil fired central heating and benefits further from a solar heating panel on the roof providing much of the family's hot water needs. The accommodation extends over approximately 2200 sq ft. and is set within a substantial plot of about two thirds of an acre. Thurston Railway station, the local primary school, the local secondary school (Thurston Community College), the Community Centre, the library and the local shop/post office are all within walking distance of the property.

Of particular note is the very large loft space which provides scope to extend the living accommodation. The property was designed by the current vendors and attic trusses were used in the roof to make it possible to add two further bedrooms and a third bathroom should the need ever arise. The loft space has a double glazed window, is fully boarded and at present is used for storage.

The garden is extensive (about two thirds of an acre), with a partially wooded area, a well tended vegetable plot, a landscaped front garden and a south facing patio area at the back. There is a range of useful outbuildings all of which are well maintained. The property is approached via a wide gravel driveway providing parking for several cars and leading to a generously sized double garage.

The spacious entrance hall leads to a well fitted kitchen, with aspect to the front, an exceptionally large utility/hobbies room with a range of units and access door to the garden, a large dining room, a cloakroom and a spacious, well proportioned living room with feature fireplace and access via double doors to the garden. This room leads to a second reception room with further access to garden and a large home office overlooking the landscaped front garden. Upstairs are four double bedrooms, the master bedroom having an en-suite and a balcony looking over the beautiful gardens, and a family bathroom with fitted suite.
