" A substantial period six bedroom family home offering over 4,600 sq. feet of accommodation. Built in 1928 and located on what was once the site of the village school, the house features well-proportioned living space throughout with original oak floors in several rooms. The property sits almost centrally on the plot and boasts front and rear gardens and an integral double garage with original sliding doors and a second detached double garage. The Close is a charming and characterful property offering superb accommodation and within easy reach of the popular village of Bovingdon, which offers an array of amenities including local convenience shops within a few minutes walk.
To the ground floor you will find a front porch with cloakroom that step in to the entrance hall. The hallway with original stairs leading to the first floor gives you access to the sitting room, family room and garden room. To the left is an impressively sized sitting room with stone fire place and windows to front rear and side. To the rear of the hall is the loggia opening out to the rear garden. The main line to London/Euston is approximately 25 minutes (fast train from Hemel Hempstead station). The A41 connects to the M25 providing access to the National Motorway Network and airports. Locally there is an abundance of sporting activities with several golf courses, walking and riding. There is also the health resort of Champneys in Tring and the exclusive Grove Country Club in Watford. The area is well served for schools, both state and private to include the schools of Berkhamsted and Watford Grammar schools.
