" DESCRIPTION 54 Upper Street is a typical post war red brick semi detached house, sturdily built with a good size plot. Upper Street as the name suggests is at the top end of the village and enjoys an elevated position with views over Quainton and the countryside to Lodge Hill where stands the Rothschild mansion Waddesdon Manor. The property has been significantly extended and now provides excellent family accommodation set over three floors with also on the ground floor a possible annexe or ensuite guest room. At the entrance is the hallway, under the stairs is a cupboard and adjacent to that a shoe cabinet. There are oak doors throughout and this area has Karndean flooring which continues into the dining room and kitchen. The kitchen is across the back of the house fitted either end with cream units with concealed lighting and wooden worktops that provide breakfast bar and incorporate a double sink. There is a range cooker that has a 5 ring electric hob and 2 ovens, above is an extractor hood and behind the cooker and sink is metro style white tiling. The room has a pantry and double doors out to the rear. In the spacious dining room is an open fire with a cast iron surround that has brass detailing. Double doors serve access to and from the kitchen and there is a bow window to the front. To the right of the hall is the sitting room with double doors to outside and then beyond is the family room or study. Because the family room is next to a shower room obviously it could be a small annexe or guest suite. The shower room itself has a wash basin, wc and a tiled cubicle with both a hand held and overhead shower. In a utility cupboard is a water softener, plumbing for a washing machine and above a shelf for a tumble tryer. Up the wall of the staircase and on the landing is wainscot panelling and by the second floor staircase a tv/gaming area or room for a desk. On the first floor are three generous double bedrooms, two of which have either built in wardrobes or under eaves storage. The bathroom is nicely fitted and offers a shower facility over the bath. On the second floor is the master bedroom suite with a range of wardrobes across one wall and a contemporary shower room.
OUTSIDE At the front of the house is a parking bay for 3 vehicles and sheltering the entrance is a storm canopy. The gardens are to the rear and side, each having paved patios and retaining walls. The rear has growing beds or vegetable patches in railway sleepers. The lawn is at the side, a very decent size containing plum and apple trees, a grape vine, gooseberry bushes and raspberry canes. It is extremely private with a second patio on the raised lawn that has exterior power points. The shed/workshop is of timber construction, insulated and connected to mains electricity.

SERVICES - Mains water, drainage and electricity. Oil fired heating (Boiler less than 2 years old)
