DOWN AMPNEY The Cotswold village of Down Ampney lies approximately 7 miles to the South East of the bustling market town of Cirencester. The village which was the birth place of the composer Vaughan Williams has a village shop, primary school, children's playground, village tennis courts and parish Church. A more comprehensive range of facilities can be found in either the market town of Cirencester or the larger commercial centre of Swindon 11 miles to the South.
