SITUATION Highways is set in a small private close off Harcombe Road above the Harcombe Valley on Raymonds Hill. Designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty the property is situated a short distance from Lyme Regis on the Devon/Dorset border. Lyme Regis is perhaps most famous for the Cobb and harbour and provides a wide range of educational, recreational and shopping facilities including banks, post office, library, health centre, museum, book shops, hotels, inns and restaurants.  
To the north west is the market town of Axminster, where there is a weekly street market as well as River Cottage produce shop and canteen and a main line station on the London (Waterloo) line.
 
There are a good range of local schools including Colyton Grammar approximately 7 miles from the property, one of England's top state schools. There is also Woodruff Scbool at Lyme Regis and The Axe Valley Community College in Axminster.
 
The Jurassic Coast is readily accessible with nearby Lyme Regis, Axmouth, Beer and Branscombe. Designated as England's first World Heritage Site there are a range of footpaths from which to enjoy the coastal and countryside scenery.
 
Taunton, the county town of Somerset, is approximately 25 miles to the north with access to the M5 at Junction 25, whilst the University and Cathedral City of Exeter is accessed via the A35 and A30 with a larger range of facilities one would expect of a city of its size including Exeter International Airport.
