This lovely two bedroom apartment is on the 1st and 2nd floor of Willoughby House, Barbican.  Fantastic location - just 3 minutes walk from Moorgate Underground, and within easy walking distance of other tube stations including Barbican, Liverpool Street, Bank and St Paul's and Old Street.

By the main door, there is an entrance hallway, with some storage space.  On the first floor there is an open plan kitchen and spacious living room, with sliding doors to a balcony overlooking the Barbican lake.  There is a cloakroom on the mezzanine level, and on the second floor, there is a bathroom and two double bedrooms with built in wardrobes and access to another balcony.  

There is underfloor heating throughout the apartment, and the cost of underfloor heating is included in the rent.

Secure underground parking within the block is available for residents (small additional charge to be paid to Barbican Central Services).

Willoughby House is a low rise block with lifts and good vehicular access (via car park entrance on Moor Lane).  It is connected to the Barbican Centre by covered walkways (raised above road level) providing easy pedestrian access to the Barbican facilities including restaurants, cafes, bars, cinemas, exhibition centre, public library, concert hall and tropical conservatory (2nd largest in London). Residents also have key access to private communal gardens and children?s playground facilities.

The apartment is let and managed directly by the owners. Background:

 ?My husband and I bought the apartment when we both worked in the City, and we lived there until 2003. In the last 15 years, we have had 6 tenants - on average each tenant has stayed more than 2 years. 

We love the duplex layout as it has an upstairs downstairs arrangement that makes it feel like a house.  The apartment is spacious (925 sq ft) with plenty of storage space, and the dual aspect (bedrooms facing east, and living room and kitchen facing west) means that the apartment is bright and sunny throughout the day. 

We are hoping to find long term professional tenants ? the apartment is ideal for a couple, although it could also be suitable for two professional sharers. We have found that managing the property ourselves works well and keeps everyone happy ? fees are kept low and we have access to a team of maintenance personnel if any maintenance work is required.
