" If you had been living in this property back in 1906 (unlikely, as that would now make you well over 100 years old!), you would have had Mrs Barrick as your neighbour, who apparently ran a dairy at number 29. She herself was next door to Mr Raven the baker, who resided at number 27. Times have certainly changed in the century since then, but the Victorian homes of Beulah Road seem to get more beautiful with age. Take this flat for example 21st century living in a 19th century shell. Mrs Barrick might recognise the outside, but the inside would be a revelation to her. Immaculately presented and effortlessly chic, this is home ready and waiting to move into those DIY tools can safely be packed away. Two bedrooms, bathroom and a fantastic open plan kitchen/diner/lounge all come off a central hallway, whilst there is a wonderful roof terrace outside, providing the perfect spot to relax once the warm weather returns. A great flat, in a great location even if you now have to walk a little further than next door for a pint of milk and a loaf

Living here... There surely isn?t a more beautiful street in E17 than Beulah Road in the Spring. Dazzlingly pink thanks to the cherry blossom, it?s a sight to behold, and one which you will get to enjoy year after year if you make this area your home. It?s also brilliantly located for whatever you have planned for E17 and beyond, whether it?s meeting up with friends or family in one of the many bars and restaurants in the Village, checking out what?s new at the Ravenswood, heading into town for work or pleasure (Walthamstow Central is a short walk away), or grabbing your walking shoes or bike and heading off into the vast green expanses of Epping Forest. Whatever you have planned, it?s all quite literally on your doorstep ? all you have to do is decide? In This Area - By Walthamstow Diary Despite what people may tell you, Walthamstow Village was not invented by estate agents. It?s called Walthamstow Village because it was once exactly that, a village. Once the administrative heart of Walthamstow, the Village is now content to simply be the neon capital of Europe. An unlikely claim you might think, but visit God?s Own Junkyard on Ravenswood industrial estate and you?ll see what I mean.
When your mind has been blown by the neon, pop in to Mother?s Ruin Gin Palace and Wildcard Brewery. All three businesses are based on Ravenswood, making it the most exciting industrial estate on the planet. The Village is full of quiet residential streets that all have easy access to bucket loads of pubs and restaurants. Take in the jazz at The Nags Head on Sunday afternoon, enjoy the excellent food and beer at The Queens Arms, and sample the legendary chicken and bacon jam burger at Eat17.
To walk off all the food you?ve eaten, wander to the 15th century Ancient House, check out St Mary?s Church and its ivy clad church yard, have a pint in the garden at the Castle Pub, then admire the art in the windows of the old iron mongers.
