The property is located in the popular village of Messingham, to the south of Scunthorpe, from where there is easy local commuting to Scunthorpe, Brigg and Gainsborough. Messingham has a full range of shops and amenities including three general stores, take-aways, restaurants, public houses and a doctors surgery. The primary school is local to the village; there are two comprehensive schools, Frederick Gough in Ashby and Huntcliffe in Kirton Lindsey and the Queen Elizabeth Grammar School in Gainsborough that serve the catchment area. Scunthorpe Town Centre is approximately 5 miles away and the various retail parks on the outskirts of Scunthorpe are a similar distance. The motorway links are approximately 6 miles away.
