" In most towns across the fair and pleasant land, “The Avenue” will conjure an image of impressive residencies within a leafy environment where the local population will aspire to live and Gravesend is not different to any other town in this respect. In Gravesend, The Avenue is within one of the conservation areas that look to retain some of the fine features within this historic riverside town. This property, and its neighbours, are fine examples of Victorian architecture with exquisite brickwork and bold bay windows. Once inside there are many other examples such as feature fireplace, ornate cornicing, picture and dado rails, although modern features have been added to include a gas central heating system, double-glazed windows and one of the receptions has been converted into a garage which, in the modern age, is much more of a necessity than a preference. All the benefits of the town centre and rail station are within a short stroll, together with good local schools, although this tree-lined road could be a million miles away.

What the Owner says:

The local Methodist Church acquired the property back in 1900 and over that time has housed the local ministers and their families. It was, and still is, an impressive address and is within the highly sought after conservation area and the town centre railway station and good local schools are all easily accessible. The property has been well maintained since we have owned it and, in recent years, have fitted double-glazed windows, replaced the roof and installed a gas central heating system
