Ashdon is a very popular and well served village situated approximately four miles to the North East of the fine old market town of Saffron Walden. The village itself has a small local store, a good public house, parish church, garage and its own primary and Nursery school. As previously mentioned, Saffron Walden is a short drive away offering further excellent schooling, shopping and recreational facilities. Audley End mainline station is situated just outside Saffron Walden and links the area to Londons Liverpool Street station, whilst access to the M11 motorway can be found at the Junctions of Stump Cross and Duxford about 7 and 9 miles away respectively.
