" A unique Grade II* Listed property situated on one of the town's most picturesque and historical streets located moments from the market square and enjoys stunning views of St Mary's Church. ? The approach to the cottage is lined with interesting delightful characterful cottages. This particular stretch of street is one of the most photographed areas of the town. The house dates back to the 1600's, but has been lovingly maintained and updated by the current owners. ? Direct access from street level leads into the sitting room. This is an impressively proportioned room with unusual ceiling heights for a cottage of this age. Exposed wooden beams adorn both the walls and the ceiling. The open fireplace adds to the appeal of this room, together with the deep bay window offering views towards St Mary's Church. There is a formal dining room off the sitting room, which is light and airy, with a door leading to the rear garden. Stairs rise to the first floor with a useful area underneath which is currently being used as a home office. The kitchen was updated a couple of years ago and features solid beech work surfaces, a large window and double doors opening to the garden. ? Also on the ground floor there is a rear hall, a bathroom with sky light and a garden room, which could be used as bedroom three, if required. This is a lovely room with a large window, two skylights and double doors opening to the pretty cottage garden with views reaching to Bridge End Gardens in the distance. ? On the first floor there are two bedrooms, both very characterful. The main bedroom is at the front of the house, again with a beautiful view of St Mary's Church. Adding to the charm of this room the floor is finished with old wide floorboards, a feature fireplace and a built-in wardrobe. The landing has lots of useful built-in storage and a small window overlooking the rear garden. Bedroom two is equally as charming. ? The garden is very pretty and can be accessed from the dining room, kitchen and garden room/bedroom three. There are a number of landscaped well stocked borders, easy to maintain and at the back of the garden is a summer house. A side gate leads to a right of way over the garden of number 41 with access to street level. "
