" Wow, wow, wow – what more can I say! Very rarely does “a jewel” of a home come onto the market such as this one! They initially called it their “mince pie” house as they could envisage great Christmas parties here. The question has to be asked what have our vendors not done to their home! It has had a new roof as they took off the concrete tiles and put slate on and have completely gutted it throughout, including replacing the staircase. They have used reclaimed oak for the flooring and have modernised it, but have still kept and updated it with traditional features.
Never have you seen a more lovingly restored home, which is immaculate both inside and outside - they even let on to me that they hired an industrial vacuum cleaner and have vacuumed the loft! It has a working studio/office in the garden and is a corner plot and so also has its own gated access to a garage with an electric door. They have said their family and friends will be so disappointed they are moving as it has been a fabulous place to entertain, whilst still retaining the traditional feel – a real find – view now before it is snapped up!

What the Owner says:

We saw it and completely fell in love with this property from the outset even though we knew it needed to be gutted and especially liked the stained glass window by the front door. However, we had a slight moment of panic when we moved in as it was so filthy and just needed so much work doing to it and we looked at each other and said 'what have we done?!' So we decided to call all our friends and had a party on day one!It has been a real project and we have put our 'hearts and souls' into the renovation of our home, but now feel we would like to do it all over again - we are gluttons for punishment!
