Description

"A fantastic family home a short walk from the centre of the thriving market town of Bridport in an elevated position with a secluded garden.

THE PROPERTY
Tucked away a short walk from the centre of the popular seaside town of Bridport, first glimpses of Hillbrow are most impressive with an attractive facade constructed of red brick under a slate roof.
On first entering this period home there is a real sense of charm, space, and light. With a large hall, high ceilings and pretty Victorian fireplace, the property exudes character throughout. The hall leads into an exceptional family kitchen perfect for entertaining and socialising. To one end is the main kitchen area incorporating a number of very pretty wall and base units and a professional eight ringed range cooker, and views over the secluded garden. To the far end is a superb dining and sitting area with enough room for a good sized dining table and sofa, and doors leading out to the garden and paved terrace, ideal for alfresco dining. Alongside the kitchen is a large utility room, cloakroom, and a study. The main reception room is also on the ground floor and like most rooms in this exceptional home it is difficult not to smile when entering this room. The proportions are perfect with high ceilings, tall sash windows, window seats and a woodburning stove.
The principal bedrooms are situated on the first floor with three double bedrooms, including a fantastic master bedroom with en suite shower room, and a separate family bathroom. The second floor provides yet further accommodation with pretty wooden flooring and is currently utilised with a bedroom and sitting room ideal for teenagers. Many of the rooms have a far reaching views over Bridport and the countryside beyond.
To the front and side of the property is ample gravelled off street parking, and to the rear is a truly delightful private garden, mainly laid to lawn and safe for children and animals. It is the perfect place to sit and enjoy this most tranquil setting.
All in all, this is a truly unique property in an idyllic and very sought after location
