Cartwheel Cottage History

In 1869, the Primitive Methodists rented Cherry Orchard, which had been constructed in the 1840s.

Built of brick with a slate roof, the property was later purchased in 1895 by the trustees of the Primitive Methodist Connexion, along with three adjoining cottages. At the time the chapel featured a balcony, seating, a pulpit, a stove, and gas fittings, while a shared water pump was located in the back garden.

In the 1960s, the building had been converted into two terraced houses 25A & B .
