Schools too are well represented within the locale, the closest being Christ Church primary and Ark Greenwich Free School secondary . They currently enjoy Ofsted outstanding status. Plumcroft primary is also nearby. Further east there are also some excellent grammar schools.

One of the most notable things about this area are the amount of green open spaces all within easy reach. There are Oxleas Woods, Severndroog Castle an 18th century grade II listed folly , Shrewsbury Park, Eaglesfield Park, Woodlands Farm, plus Eltham and Woolwich Commons. With so much on the doorstep it can be hard to believe that this location is in inner London!

If you enjoy outdoor pursuits this area has it covered. At the top of Shooters Hill you will find Shooters Hill golf course, Shooters Hill Lawn Tennis Club and Plumstead and Woolwich Bowls‘ club. For cyclists there are many cycle lanes and paths within easy access.

Blackheath Village has a good selection of boutiques, eateries, restaurants and a train station. Whilst at Blackheath Royal Standard there are shops, cafes and a Marks and Spencers Food Hall. Welling town centre has an even wider range of shops and supermarkets, a local football club and a railway station.
