Sandford is a popular place to love due to its characterful
look, proximity to Crediton and Exeter and the fact it has so much
going on. With a primary school, community shop, two pubs, an
active community hall and regular bus services, its a connected
village that retains its own character and history. This Grade II
Listed property was converted a few years ago from the original
church vestry and retains a lot of the original character. More
recently, the current owner has further updated the kitchen to
provide a functional yet in keeping open plan space which benefits
from integrated appliances and is well fitted to the space. There
is a wonderful large stone fireplace with a wood burning stove
which is the feature of the main room plus the solid wood spiral
staircase that rises to the first floor bedroom. In addition, there
is a shower room off the main living space too. Hidden in the floor
of the living space is a trap door giving access to a fixed ladder
down to the lower ground floor. Ideal for use as a store or office,
it also has a small door to the street outside so you dont have to
use the ladder! . Theres plenty of built in storage down here and
if it was being used as an Airbnb, an ideal place to keep locked
for stores and supplies even bikes etc.
Although there is no garden or parking, the village is
surrounded by country walks. Theres also a park and playing field
and ample parking in the village car park free .
Please see the floorplan for room sizes.
