Description

" Call Now to View!!!!
An exciting new retail development in Greenock. Bluebell Walk occupies what was previously Marks & Spencer in the Oak Mall on Hamilton Way.
Initially 10 Units available.
No Rates.
No Service Charges
Short or Long Term Contracts available.

The plan for Bluebell Walk is to turn the entire building into dozens of small shops, not cheap and tacky, but expensive, modern glass and steel. Initially, the scheme will consist of 10 units on the ground floor facing Costa Coffee ? selected to be interesting and useful, rather than just maximising rents. Once the initial 10 shops have been let, a further 30 shops will be constructed. There are also plans for a child play area, food outlets and lots of free fun stuff!! If this is successful, the plan is to extend to the upper floors. In total, the property covers an area of approximately 50,000 square feet. The opening hours for Bluebell Walk will be the same as the Oak Mall, but once we are up and running, these hours may be extended.

Greenock is located on the River Clyde approximately 25 miles west of Glasgow and 15 miles from Glasgow Airport. The town is believed to have been established in the late 16th century as a fishing port and grew to become more famous for shipbuilding, steam and sugar refinery.
The Inverclyde district area has a population of just under 80,000, with approximately 40,000 living in Greenock. Famous Greenock sons include James Watt who invented the Watt steam engine in 1776, which converted steam back to water, which was fundamental to the changes brought by the Industrial Revolution.

Greenock Ocean Terminal is the port for Glasgow and the west coast of Scotland and the local economy benefits from the influx of thousands of cruise ship passengers between May and October every year. 36 cruise ships are scheduled for the 2020 season with a total of 74 planned visits, including the world-renowned Cunard ships Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria.

Plans are in place for a landmark building featuring a new visitor centre, restaurant and gallery at Greenock Ocean Terminal at a cost of ?14.7m. The development is due for completing in 2020. It is estimated that over 150,000 passengers could pass through Greenock Ocean Terminal each year, delivering ?26m visitor and crew spend to the Scottish economy. Our aim is to tap into this increased customer footfall and make Bluebell Walk a must visit location for local people and tourists alike to spend their money and enjoy a fantastic new retail experience.
